Where should I begin? Well it was about 6:30 am Wednesday February 21, 2007 when Jenn walked into the bedroom and woke me up to tell me it was time to go. Unfortunately it was 6:30 and I had no idea what she was talking about until she said her water broke! So it was off to the Collingwood hospital.

We arrived at the hospital around 7:30 am and Jenn was 4 cm dilated; and 9 cm by 8:30 when we were admitted. Jenn was fully dilated and pushing by 9:00 am. A lot of pushing and 3 hours later a beautiful baby was born. Landon Richard Jacob Macaulay was 6 lbs 12 oz, 21.25 inches and he arrived about 3 weeks early. Jenn and I were extremely surprised and excited that it was a boy as we both thought we were going to have a baby girl.

Jenn's mom Barb was there to help Jenn through the entire birth and I just want to say honestly we couldn't have done it with out her! I just want to say Thank you Barb for being apart of the most wonderful experience of our lives.

Wednesday night before bed Jenn said "Jerry I cannot believe we are parents now". I replied "No Jenn, We are a family!" If anyone is in the position to think about starting a family I strongly recommend doing so as it has to be the greatest experience you will ever have.

On Thursday at a little before 5:00 pm we were released from the hospital and able to go home. Unfortunately Mother Nature had different plans for us! A storm started to come in around 3:00 that afternoon and by 5:30 the highways and roads to Stayner were all closed and we were forced to turn back. Fortunately for us Anita (my sister) lives in Collingwood was able to provide us with a place to stay.

We finally arrived home with Landon Friday afternoon.

Well I finally meet my son for the first time on February 21st at 12:07 PM. His name is Landon Richard Jacob Macaulay and he weighted 6lbs and 12oz and he was 21.25 inches.

Unfortunately I am going to have to keep this one short as we need to get things settled before I can spend sometime updating the site. I have added one picture to hold everyone over until I can post more.

Today Jerry and I went for our first ultrasound. We got to see our baby for the first time today. Wow what a great experience. The baby was moving around so much that it was hard to get pictures. But the lady was able to get a couple.

We got to see everything when the baby decided to sit still for a moment. We are both very excited and can't wait to be parents. We will be posting new stuff soon.

Our expected due date is March 9th, 2007.
