I mean really 241 accidents in one day is just ridiculous! I know the weather was rough today but no worse then last winter. Or do you forget? Well see that seems to be the problem here; everyone seems to think you can do a 140 kms on icy roads in a snow storm. Sure you can do it, but safely, I think not.<br /><br />I have a News Flash you folks - In winter you cannot attempt to stop 5 feet before a Stop sign at 50 km and make it, it is just not gonna happen. But time and time again I see people attempt it and I think to myself "Dumbass". I often wonder what goes through their heads. Oops? maybe Sorry? Then I think F**K Oops, F**K Sorry, you almost killed me!<br /><br />Out of the 241 accidents today how many do you think could have been avoided if the drives used common sense? Well, ALL OF THEM. People seem to shut their brains off when winter hits, or is their brain just frozen? Let's just hope for everyone's sake their brains de-thaw before spring because it is gonna be a long winter.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.torontosun.com/PhotoGalleries/This/2005/11/25/1324186.html">Check out this picture</a>. This person ended up on the guardrail of the highway. It looks like someone was going a little to fast for the weather conditions. The strange thing is I bet they were running a little late and were speeding to make it to work on time. Well I guess that backfired! Not only is this person now really late for work, but they also wrecked their car. HELLO, where is your logic???<br /><br />On the bright side of things they made the front page of the Toronto Sun - <a href="http://www.torontosun.com/FrontPage/2005/11/25/1322366.html">Check it out</a>. I would love to know what they were telling the cops.<br /><br />Does your insurance company cover Stupidity? If so, please contact this person so they can get a quote!<br /><br />I commute a minimum of 45 minutes to work everyday and have done so for the past several years. I know what the roads can be like in the winter (Bad really Bad). But I also know to LEAVE EARLY! So here is some advice for you commuter kamikazes out there LEAVE FOR WORK EARLY. You are not the only people on the roads trying to get to work. When you drive like an asshole your not the only one in danger. SLOW DOWN!
